4 Months old

Jake is now past his 4 month mark and he is getting to be even cuter (of course i think so because i'm his mom!). He had his 4 month check-up last week and he's doing really well. 

Weight = 11 lbs. 13 oz. (5th percentile)

Height = 24 3/4 in. (50 percentile)

I knew he was smaller than most 4 months old only because i had so many people tell me how small he is (which by the way really bugs me. it makes me feel like i'm doing something wrong because my baby is too small. obviously i know i'm not but it's still not fun to hear from everyone.  but i've done that before before i had jake and now i will not do it again!) so he is just long and lean which is very different from how Gary and i were as babies, we were both chubsters! 

Here are some fun things about Jake 

- He loves to make all sorts of noises and squeals with delight 

-he hates being on his stomach because it's just too much work! he'd much rather be on his back. 

-he hasn't figured out how to roll over yet , i was talking to mom on the phone the other day telling her i was trying to get jake to roll over and she replied "he's not a dog!". 

-Every time i talk on the phone Jake just stares and me and is so intrigued. 

-still sucks on his whole fist or thumb but likes his paci the most.

-still wakes 1-2 times a night to eat

-loves to hug on his little bear/blanket (it's a bear head with a little blanket on the end, not sure what they're called)

-has decided to spit up all of the time

-loves to be around people and stare at them. 

- he farts so loud! definitely a boy!

- he will not smile for the camera, every time i lift the camera up to take a picture of his cute smile he loses the smile and just stares.

-he would much rather stand than sit

- smiles really big every time i sing to him , he loves Tim McGraw as much as i do!
