I never thought I'd say this.....

bUT I mISs ThE sNoW!
I know what is wrong with me, i hate the cold but i was so happy that it snowed in St. George and i just had to take pictures of it. it got me in the mood for Christmas, and it made me kind of miss northern Utah.

This snowman was made by a cute old man at the RV park and steph and i decided to put a face on him with Christmas candy that we couldn't eat. isn't he cute!

I just want to say farewell to Stephanie! she is moving on to bigger and better things. We'll miss you! This picture was taken at our "going away party".

I know this may not be the most exciting present, but it's what I wanted. It's pretty cool because it's a stair stepper and elliptical in one!

Stressed

This week has been very stressful and i don't get stressed out very easily! I'm in the Young Women's Presidency and it was my turn to plan the joint YW activity so my advisor came up with a great idea to do a "Christmas in Nauvoo" theme which turned out really cute but there was kind of a lot of preparation. On top of that i have to teach my first lesson on Sunday which is kind of scary AND i have to speak in sacrament meeting which i'm really nervous about! i haven't spoken in church since i was 18 so i guess it's about time. So all of this week i've been preparing for all of these things and trying finish up with school since i have finals next week. i thought they were only on wednesday and friday but i have one on monday that i'm going to have to find time to study for. If Gary were here it would be a little easier to handle but he's been out of town since friday and he doesn't come back until this friday. i hate it! i don't like when he's gone but i'll have to deal. Atleast it will all be over by next friday then it's Christmas time and my little brother comes home from his mission! yay! something to look forward to.....

~Thanksgiving~

The Dixie Rock

I had the urge to go to the Dixie rock and "the wedge" on saturday afternoon so here are some pics of our experience.

Good Doctor?

Now that Gary and I are settled in St. George and not planning on going anywhere anytime soon it's about time we get some regular doctors. It's been a while since we've gotten a check up. So please I need a good OBGYN (not that i'm pregnant but eventually i would like to have the same doc), and also a family doctor. So please help me out i have no idea! Thanks!

~Halloween!~

Gary and I had a fun Halloween hanging out with some co-workers of mine. None of us had anything exciting to do so we decided to plan a little party. We played some pool, ate yummy treats and we all painted a pumpkin, and of course you can see that we are all amazing artists. I think i like painting pumpkins more than carving, it's not as messy (though that can sometimes be part of the fun). We decided costumes would be optional and because i'm not a big fan of Halloween, Gary and I decided to be party poopers and just be ourselves. Maybe next year!

AAAHHHH! New calling!

Well it has happened. i actually have a calling in our ward! Gary was lucky enough to get one a few weeks ago as the elders quorom secretary. we moved into the ward about 2 months ago and we figured they would snatch us up pretty quick considering the amount combovers and shampoo sets in the ward. i was called as the first counselor in the Young Womens Presidency which i'm actually pretty excited about ( though i was expecting primary teacher). we have a pretty small young womens and i think it will be fun to go to all of their activites, though i'm pretty scared to have to teach them all. i had quite a few congratulations from the ladies in the ward and one was convinced that i was just barely out of young womens myself.

i just laughed though i get quite annoyed when people think i'm so young. actually it's been almost 6 years thank you very much. oh well, i'm sure i'll love it when i get older.

Yay for the Internet!

We finally got the internet at our house! i know, it's 2008 but it was just something we never thought was that necessary. but i am so glad that i don't have to go to the college to check my email and things now. it's definitely worth the extra money. i would just like all of you to tune into The Office tonight because it looks like it's going to be a good one! if you aren't fans of the show yet you better become one! it is seriously the funniest show ever, well atleast that's on t.v. right now.

Fun Up North

I had such a fun weekend with family friends while Gary was hunting. I drove up to Orem on Thursday and stopped to see Jeff and Janelle's cute new home and hold my cute baby nephew. Then on Friday I spent the day in Salt Lake at my friend Alex Davis's wedding which was so beautiful. The rest of the weekend i spent shopping and hanging out with my family. Saturday night we had dinner at Jeff and Janelle's and spent some good quality time together. I don't get to see my friends and family enough but I love it when I do. If Gary could've come it would've been even better! Congrats Alex and Danielle! After the reception some of us went to Applebee's and got caught up on each others lives because we never get to see each other! It was so great to see friends and hang out again. ( my eyes look really creepy, they always go red!)

Danielle's dad performed a ring ceremony before the reception and it was really neat to see. It was so beautiful and just added to the amazing day!

those Poor Hunter's Wives

I would just like to shout out to all of those women sitting at home while their husbands are up on the mountain shooting things. it is october which means gary will spend much of his time in Greenwich hunting with his brothers leaving me at home with the credit card. ha ha! for 3 weekends in a row i am going to be bored out of my mind! atleast i have work to keep me occupied and during the deer hunt i get to visit my family up north and spend money on cute clothes. its actually something i really look forward to, though i will miss Gary i love shopping! he has tried to talk me into getting my hunter safety and going with him hunting but that's just not happening. i went bunny shooting with him a while ago (i know it sounds horrible but it's what we do in his hometown) and i shot my first bunny and i wanted to cry! there is no way i could shoot a deer or elk so it's just not happening. so if you're home alone because your husband is hunting give me a shout and we can eat chocolate together.

Broken Record

After 7 years of a clean driving record a stupid motorcycle cop caught me.... speeding. yes i know you are shocked. i was supposed to be at the elementary school for a class requirment and i was running late so i had to speed. i was on the boulevard going pretty fast, the speed limit is 30 and i was going 51 according to the cop. i knew as soon as i past the cop in the parking lot with his radar gun pointing at me i was screwed. and of course he pulls me over causing me to be even more late, i wasn't going to argue with him because i knew i deserved it. oh well there goes $82 down the drain.

I actually have flowers in my own yard! pretty huh :)

Zion's!

Well Gary and i finally got out of the house and did something! we decided to go to zion's since we've never actually been together. how sad we've lived in st. george for about 3 years and have never been. we decided to hike angel's landing and i'm glad we did but wow am i sore! atleast i worked off the whole box of milk duds (movie theater size) i ate the night before at the dixie round-up rodeo. we saw some interesting things along the way, including a skunk and a rattle snake! it was beautiful at the top but super windy which made me a little nervous. hopefully we can get out and hike more often especially since we live around so many great hiking trails.

Hello everyone! Gary and I just recently got a blog to keep in touch with friends and family that we don't get to see enough. For those of you who we haven't talked to in a while i'll give you a little update on our lives. We are currently living in St. George and have lived here off and on for about 4 years. We love it! We just bought a house about 3 weeks ago and are getting settled in. Gary is working at Sunroc as a field engineer and i am working as a secretary and going to Dixie State to eventually become an elementary school teacher. No kids yet though Gary keeps begging me for one, ha ha, ya right. It's the complete opposite! We are really happy with our lives right now and we're looking forward to whatever the future holds! I'll keep you updated.
