Belly Progress~ 17 weeks

One more week and we get to find out what we're having!

Fireworks!

St. George on the 4th is not the best because it's so hot but i had to work so we had to stay! I was craving Texas Roadhouse so we went there for dinner and got completely stuffed full, then of course we had to get a snow cone to keep us cool. we went to the Dixie Sunbowl and watched the Country Showdown, kind of like American Idol style, with 8 contestants sining. a few were kinda bad but mostly it was fun to listen to. I was surprised that it wasn't that hot sitting out in the sun, only about 105. they did fireworks at 10 that were pretty good. Maybe not as exciting as the last few 4th of july holidays, but it was pretty fun. 

4 Year Anniversary

For our 4 year anniversary I really wanted to take a trip somewhere before we have a baby and can't go anywhere for a while. i decided on Laguna Beach (Gary just went a long with it) and Los Angeles. Neither of us had been to the beach since 2006 and we missed it! we both love the ocean so it was a lot of fun for us. It was a little chilly mostly in the high 60's and 70's so the water was chilly too. that didn't stop us from getting in though! it was so pretty and there were a lot of cool rock formations. we borrowed a boogie board from my friend and we had a lot of fun.  We stayed there Wednesday and thursday night then drove to Los Angeles Friday morning. We mostly just hung out with Jessica and Jeff. Friday we went to the Grove, kind of a shopping area, and walked around. we saw Sawyer from Lost! i love that show so i was pretty excited, he walked right by me, if only i had my camera handy. we went out to eat a lot and on Friday we went to see Transformers 2, not that great, but it was fun anyway. Saturday Jeff took Gary and I to the Getty museum and we saw some really amazing art. then Jessica had us help her a little with her Primary activity (she's the pres.). it was a fun trip! now i miss the beach again! thank goodness they let us borrow their navigation system because it made the drive much easier.

Bun In the Oven

As of tomorrow i will be 15 weeks pregnant! Gary and i are both really excited although it still doesn't seem that real because i'm not looking very pregnant yet.  We find out what it is in about a month so i'll keep you all posted. My due date is December 10th which is kind of nice since i won't be too big and uncomfortable in the St. George heat. 

Random plants in my back yard.

So i planted some flower seeds in our backyard garden about a month and a half ago and soon after a mysterious plant started arising. I didn't want to pull it out because it didn't look like  a weed and i was curious to find out what it would become and it is now a foot and a half tall! Gary and i have a feeling it could be sunflowers but i didn't plant them. maybe they got mixed in with my seed? does anyone have any idea what this is?

I painted my entertainment center a few weeks ago and it looks so much better! it definitely ties the room together well. Gary still isn't in love with the color but what does he know anyway. 

Memorial Day Fun

For Memorial Day Gary and I went to his parents house in Greenwich for the weekend. Most of his siblings were in town which doesn't happen very often so it was good to get together. We mostly just talked, ate yummy food, went four wheeling, and just had a good time! It rained all day saturday so we stayed inside most of the time except to go to the cemetery to put flowers on graves. We had a great time, hopefully we can get together more often!

We all roasted some marshmallows to make smores using Tom's handy fire pit. Luckily no one was burned too badly. (the boys had a lot of fun playing with the fire of course)

 

What is this!?

i don't know what happened to my playlist at the bottom but all of the songs were changed and there was a picture of some half naked girl from terminator on it. lady gaga? black eyed peas? sorry people but i didn't put that on there. what happened! anyway, so i removed it, i have no idea how long it's been on there. weird.
